My friend April just started a new, wonderful forum called Scrapping the Magic! It's where the love of Disney and creativity collide! I'm super excited about this because Disney, scrapbooking and card making are 3 of my favorite things in the world and now I have a place to enjoy them all with others just like me! If it sounds like something you may be interested in, stop on by and check it out! There are a lot of new and exciting features on the horizon that April is planning!

Mickey Santa card!
A friend of mine (along with Santa) is surprising her family with a trip to Disney World for Christmas!!! When the kids wake up on Christmas Eve Day they are going to find the this card on their tree and all their presents underneath the tree! She asked me to make a special card that would reveal that they were leaving for Disney World thanks to Santa!
The pictures don't really do this card justice. I used black flock on Mickey's ears and body and white Soufle pen and Stickles on the Snowflakes (the Snowflakes were cut from the AE cart once again!).
I wanted to make the inside specific to them so I wrote a little Christmas poem to announce that they would be leaving for Walt Disney World!!!
I hope she is happy with the card! I had fun making it...I only wish I could be there to see them read it!

Swing/Flip Birthday card
Here is a birthday card that I made for a friend today. I have to give a shout out to Sheryl Greene of the Cricut Board! I recently won a RAK from her and it included a Swing/Flip card that she had made so I used it for a blueprint to make this one! Thanks Sheryl!
I used the Accent Essential cart that I just won from Jason's RAK (THANKS JASON!!!) to cut the flower sections on the front of the card to match up to the printed paper!
The pictures didn't turn out very good, but I think you get the idea! I added a ribbon tied around the front section of it after I took these pictures. It was the perfect finishing touch!

Mason jar Jack-o-lanterns!
This is the craft that I did for my oldest Son, Parker's third grade classroom. The older the kids get, the harder it is to come up with something that both the boys and the girls will like to do and not think it's to babyish to do! This was a super simple thing to make.
Supplies needed:
Mason pint jars (or any size you would like)
orange paint
black paint
lunch sized paper sacks
Crystal clear spray paint
Due to time contrainst I painted the orange on the jars and put a coat of clear spray over them before taking them to the school. The kids enjoyed painting their Jack-o-lantern faces on them and making the stems! To do the stems simply open up the lunch sack and place the sealing lid from the jar shiny side up in the bottom of the bag, then slide the metal ring from the jar over the top of the bag and
manipulate until you can get the bag covered lid to fit snugly into place. You may have to mess around with this a bit to get it to fit properly so you are able to screw the ring back onto the top of the jar.
Here are the ones my boys made with Mommy's help!

Keeping up with the Joneses!
Both of the boys wanted to be Indiana Jones this year. Parker was less than thrilled when his little Brother decided that he wanted to dress up the same as him, but he quickly got over it with all of the attention it drew to them! People were stopping and asking where we got their costumes and remarking how cute Indiana Jones and 'little' Indiana Jones were!
When we were at Walt Disney World in August both of the boys wanted Indiana Jones hats and whips. We already knew then that they wanted to be Indiana Jones for Halloween so it only seemed logical to go ahead and pick them up then.
Trying to find a jacket and the rest of the outfit proved to be a more difficult task. I finally found a children's sized leather bomber jacket online, but they wanted $65 plus shipping for EACH of them! GASP! That's when I decided to call in the big gun.....Grandma! Thank goodness for Grandma's!!!! We went to the fabric store looking for a pattern for Indiana Jones, but no luck! Thankfully my Mom is super talented and was able to create a shirt, jacket and satchel for the boys to work for their costumes! I think she did a fabulous job!!! THANKS MOM!!!!

Tanner's 4th birthday!
Well our little one has officially turned 4! Tanner really wanted an Indiana Jones birthday cake so I was super happy when I went to Wal-Mart to order his cupcakes for school and saw these cool cupcake cakes they make! Tanner was excited beyond words when I walked into his classroom with this and it was a big hit with his classmates!

All About Tanner mini book!
My youngest has officially started PreK and his teacher wanted each of the kids to make a 6x12 with their parents to share with their classmates. This assignment was handed down on the Friday of my scrapbooking weekend so my hubby and Tanner sat down at the computer while I was away and picked out the pictures he wanted to use for his book!
We had fun picking out the things he wanted to use and of course he LOVED using Mommy's Stickles! lol He was very proud on Monday when he took his book to his teacher!

2007 WDW LO's from my scrapbooking weekend retreat!
So I am finally getting around to posting pictures of the LO's I completed 2 weeks ago during my weekend crop. I ended up completing 42 pages which isn't as good as normal, but considering I was sick most of the day on Sunday I am very happy with the outcome.
Most of the photos used on these pages are from our 2007 WDW trip, with the exception of the Star Wars Weekend LO's which were from 2005 & 2006!
A few of my favorites I will post at the beginning. I was very happy with the way my MGM LO with the Sorcerer Hat turned out! It took me forever to hand draw and cut the pieces and get them just right! The glove was made by using two different Mickey glove cuts from M&F's.
My other three favorites are my Tower of Terror LO, Pooh's Playful Spot and the Tic Toc Crocodile one!
I really enjoy these scrapbooking weekends! Getting the chance to create and spend time with my friends away from the daily hustle and bustle of the house is wonderful! I only wish I could have all of my forum friends join me!
Thank you for taking the time to look! I hope you enjoy them!
