Look what I won!

I won this Card Making with Cricut book a couple weeks ago on a live stream video with Maggie and Kathy on the Cuttlebug Challenge blog.  It was so much fun playing and chatting with all the ladies!  I received this in the mail about a week ago, but I just got the picture out of my camera last night!  :-)

If you get a chance to stop by their blog please do so!  They have an exciting giveaway coming up!!!  Stay tuned!

Terra cotta flower pot with thumb print bugs

I made two of these with my sons Kindergarten class.  His teacher thinks that they both went to the auction, but one of them will be going home with her at the end of the school year!  We included this pot with our auction basket and the best part about it is....I won the Italian basket from one of the 4th grade classes that included a hand written recipe book done by the students and the lady who won our basket has a daughter in that class.  She swapped me the flower pot for the recipe book so we both ended up with great prizes as well as the personalized item from our own children's classrooms!  I was so happy about that!  So this pot is now here at my home waiting for something beautiful to be planted in it!

The kids had so much fun doing their thumb prints on the pot and were super excited to see what bug I had turned them into!  I simply used Sharpie markers to finish off the bugs and then covered the entire pot with a good coat of sealer to protect the paint and markers.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Monday!

The finished stone birdhouse!

I promised you a photo of the finished bird house before it headed off to the auction.  I'm a week later, but here it is!  I was really happy how it turned out for my first try.  I got so many compliments on it at the auction and the basket that it was included in ending up going for $250!!!!  We were THRILLED!  I will post pictures of the auction lots we offered as well either today or tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by!

WDW December 2008

Here is what I have finished so far from our December 2008 WDW trip!  I had a hard time resisting jumping ahead to work on these Christmas LO's just like I'm now struggling with not jumping ahead to work on the Halloween LO's from our Aug/Sept 2009 WDW trip!  I am hoping to finish our Dec 2008 trip up next month at my weekend crop.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I'll break these down into two parts...single page LO's and double page LO's.  Thanks for looking and sharing a comment if you are inspired to do so!

Stay tuned!

That concludes the last of my LO's from our August 2008 trip, but I have probably around 20 LO's that I've completed from our December 2008 WDW trip that I will post tomorrow!  I've been having so much fun working on the Christmas LO's for WDW!!!  WDW at Christmas is the most beautiful place in the world to me!

The last of my Epcot LO's from our August 2008 trip

I knew the first time that I saw the "3 Amigos" cut on the Graphically Speaking cartridge that I wanted to use it for a Epcot Mexico LO!  The only thing is....I thought I had a picture of just the boys with Donald in his sombrero!  NOPE!  This is the only photo I had so I had to improvise!  Hence the 3 Amigos, 1 Senorita and a Duck!  I liked how it turned out.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment!  All the nice comments brighten my day!  You can click on the pictures to view them larger if you'd like.

Kidcot Stations at Epcot

Both of my boys are WDW veterans, Parker age 9 with 10 trips under his belt and Tanner age 5 with 6 trips under his and the Kidcot Stations are something that we had never taken the time to fully complete.  They had done one or two before, but for our anniversary trip I told my husband that something I really wanted to do was for the boys to complete every station in Future World and in the World Showcase.  WE DID IT!  I took some 4X6 precut white cardstock with me so that a cast member from each country could write "hello" to the boys in their native language.  This ended up being a 5 page LO, but I just had to get every single country represented along with the boys posing for a picture of the cast member that wrote them their message.

I loved these....he wrote both of the boys names in
Chinese & stamped their Chinese zodiac sign!

A few Magic Kingdom stragglers from August 2008

I usually tend to work on my Magic Kingdom LO's first so there were only a couple of pages that still needed to be finished up for this trip.  Here they are.

You can click on them to view them larger if needed.
