OMGoodness....I am sooooo exhausted. I seriously do not know how I am going to pry myself out of this bed this morning. It has been a very long week and yesterday was the longest of all the days of the week! The good news is...the Science Fair is over! The bad news...the Science Fair is over! :-( It is always so much work to get prepared, set up, run everything and clean up, but it is so worth it! To see all of the fantastic projects that the kids create and watch them as they present their findings is the BEST!
I have been looking forward to this date for it seems like a month now so I could have some free time with my boys (and my Cricut for some fun crafting!). Today will be much less hectic. Just have a few things to finish clean up on at the school and then make popcorn and sell it this afternoon to the kids. ....but when school is out for the day, we are off for the NEXT NINE DAYS!!! I've already told the boys that we are making at least 1/2 of those days "stay in our PJ" days!!!! We are always so busy chasing from here to there and having to do this and that. Well...not next week! I cannot wait to get into my Gypsy and start cutting some of the things that have been hiding in there!
I will hopefully be back later to post a few pictures from last night. What a great night for my boys and our school. Loving life!

Howdy Pardner!
Gotta love Western Goofy! I love that they've been putting the characters out and about more in some of their different costumes. Did you know that Mickey has a wardrobe of of almost 300 costumes at WDW and that Minnie isn't too far behind with a little over 200!?! Since I quit working to be a stay-at-home mom, my wardrobe pretty much consists of tshirts and knit pants! lol Sad that I am being out diva'd by a mouse!
The patterned background paper is by Colorbok and the red and white matting paper is by K&C. I cut the "Howdy Pardner" from the Cricut Old West cartridge at 2 1/4" inches and then I inked up the edges with black ink and grunged up the boot a bit with some brown ink, then used a white pen to give it the stitched look before topping them off with mini brads from Close to My Heart. The cowboy boot was cut from Old West as well at 4 1/2 " and finished off the same as the "Howdy Pardner".
Well tonight is our big Science Fair and I am so excited for all the students to share their projects and inventions! This is always one of our favorite school events of the year. I love handing out the medals to all of the participants. They get so excited about the recognition and I love seeing their faces light up! I will be sharing pictures soon! Enjoy your day!

Disney picture collage
I always have pictures that I want to use that end up on the cutting room floor so to speak. I decided to design a simple template to use for pictures like this from now on. I just put 9 - 3 1/2" circles on my 12X12 mat on my Gypsy screen and then loaded my paper and voila!
The "2009" was cut at 1 1/4" and the circles for the Mickey ears from George at 1/2" and then welded together. I added a some Stickles to the ears to bling em up!
I made a couple of other templates similar to this. I did another with circles cut a little smaller at 3". I also tried one with squares that are connected, but I haven't tried cutting that one out yet. I will keep you posted on how that one works out!
I will be busy all afternoon and evening setting up for our big science fair at school. I will get some pictures of the boys display boards taken tonight after set up and try to get them posted within the next few days. They are always so tickled about the responses they get over how nice their boards look and it cracks me up when Tanner explains to people "I used my Mom's Cricut!" Raising them right! :) Almost half way through the work/school week! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

So excited about all the interest!
Wow! I am overwhelmed by all the interest in our upcoming Disney/Pixar hop! I just passed on the contact information for 6 ladies that are expressed interest in joining this hop to my co-hostess, Shawn at Crafty Chics! I know that Shawn already has a waiting list of names going and with what I just sent her, it is now busting at the seams! I'm sorry to say that all hop stops for March 26th were filled weeks ago and we've sadly had to turn people away. We were already planning on doing another one down the road and with the type of response we've been having I'm sure it will happen sooner than later! So excited that you are all so excited!
My little Army men!
I was so excited when the Toy Story cartridge came out! I have stacks and stacks of Disney photos that this cartridge is going to come in handy for! I loved that there were Army men cuts on here to go along with these character meet and greet opportunities. We always have so much fun interacting the these guys!
The Army men cut was done at 5" and then pop dotted to give it a little dimension. I also used some green Cats Eye Chalk to go over the paper on the Cricut cut to rough it up and give it a little camo look. The background patterned paper is by Design Originals and has been in my Disney stash for a very long time!
Hope you have a great day! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me the lovely comments that make me smile!

Coming soon to THIS blog near you!
I am so excited and I cannot wait to share the line up of the amazing and talented ladies that are going to be participating! Not to mention the AWESOME sponsors that have been generous enough to donate prizes for me to give away here on my blog! I promise that you will not be disappointed!
In honor of Valentine's Day and the love of my life!
Here is a layout I finished from our 2009 trip where we spent our 11th wedding anniversary. We had to have a couple of pictures taken of just the two of us without the boys. These are my two favorite parks so they are the pictures I picked for this layout.
The background pattern paper is from Close to My Heart. I took some plain white paper and inked the edges with green to pop under the blue paper that I matted the photos with. The saying was preprinted on vellum and I simply put a piece of yellow paper behind it.
The star and "Dream" are both rubber embellishments from Close to my Heart. I cut the hearts from one of my Cricut cartridges, but I can't remember which one and I didn't write it down like I normally try to do.
I hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day! I will be celebrating with a bunch of first graders! :) I just want to say "thank you" to my husband for the amazing love and life he gives us each and every day. Even on our worst day I wouldn't trade what we have for anything! ...and happy birthday wishes go up to my Grandpa who I miss each and every day.
