Rock 'n' Roller Coaster!

As a tribute to Steven Tyler (hopefully...crossing fingers!) joining American Idol here is a LO I did for Parker's first time ever riding Rock 'n' Roller Coaster back in December of 2008, which just happens to be one of my favorite two rides at Walt Disney World!  I had been trying to talk him into riding this for almost a year and a half... once he hit the 48 inch height requirement mark!  He was soooooooo scared, but once he road it he LOVED it and now it's a must do each and every time we are in Hollywood Studios!

The only bad thing that happened was that the ride broke down!  It broke down literally within feet of where we needed to disembark the ride so it didn't interfere with the enjoyment of the ride, it's just that they ended up having to manually unlock people from the ride cars and walk them out.  We were the closest to the end, BUT they start from the FRONT of the ride and then you have to walk back through the ride to the entrance!  Yes...even though we could see the normal exit to the ride they made us go all the way back through!  The two guys sitting in the seats in front of us were horrible.  They were screaming and freaking out (being drama queens basically).  I had to keep reassuring Parker that everything was going to be okay (he was only 8 years old at this time).  We probably sat in those big locked down restraints for about 20 minutes before they got to us which wasn't pleasant, but we survived!  I will say that it was cool to walk through the ride and be able to see the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster track WITH THE LIGHTS ON!!!!  They must have said at least ten times when they approached our car that there were to be absolutely no pictures taken and al cell phones must be in our pockets.

It is a two page LO, you can click on it to view it larger if you would like.  The title and embellishments are cut in matte silver metallic paper, so it didn't photograph too good, sorry for that.

  3. It's amazing how grown ups can end up being the turds. Here we all worry about the kids with the meltdowns, when really, we should be worried about the adults. LOL! Love how Park kept his cool and that you got to have a interesting behind the scenes look into the ride. But like Cropping Canuck asked... Were you a rebel and take a pic anyways? LOL! I trust that you did not. ;0)
    Great Layout and STORY!!!
