Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

That phrase just makes me laugh!  My friend Kaye says it all the time and I had never in my life heard it before I met her!  It seems like it pops up a lot on various blogs, or maybe I just notice it more now.  Anyways... look what was delivered to my house while I was gone scrapping over the weekend!

I won some blog candy last week from Linda at LILGREENBUGVILLE .  Thank you Linda!

Karel's 55th Birthday Bash!

Good Monday morning!  I had a wonderful weekend of friendship and scrapping and will have some fun layouts to share with you all when I get a chance to photograph them.  I am so excited that my hubby is flying home tomorrow!  The boys and I have missed him terribly!  I am hoping to be able to stay in the loop and keep daily posting going on here on my blog, but I am forewarning you that for the next 11 days that Jim and my boys are going to be my main focus!  Thank God his flight is scheduled to come in before that horrible snow storm that is coming across the country as I type this!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a snow day on Wednesday so we can all just stay snuggled up in bed and watch some movies!

I wanted to make all of you aware of a really cool, month long celebration coming up over on Karel's blog -- One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity starting tomorrow, February 1st!  It is going to be a celebration for her 55th birthday and every day she has something special planned with some AWESOME giveaways!!!  If you are not already a follower, I suggest you hop on over there and become one so that you do not miss a single day of fun!

Slowly but surely....

Look at that adorable little snail!  Thought he was the perfect cut choice to go along with Robyn's "Take it easy" stamp.  The Cartridge Chaos Challenge for the week over at Two Scraptastic Gals was to make a project using the Create a Critter cartridge.  If you do not own this cartridge, you are missing out!  There are so many great phrase cuts as well as the adorable animals!

The snail was cut at 4 1/2" from various paper in my scrap stash.  I think both the pink and blue are from DCWV.  The background patterned paper is from K&C Co. (Hopscotch stack which is FABULOUS!).  Stamp is Robyn Pink Stamper and I decided to not only stitch around the border of the card, but to also stitch around the shell of the snail to give it a little more definition.

So sad that the weekend is almost over, but SOOOOOOO happy that it puts me one day closer to the hubby coming home!  Just two more days!!!  Hope your Sunday is spectacular!

Have a Tree-mendous day!

I was so happy when I saw that Scrappy Mom's was issuing a challenge to make a project from the Sweethearts cartridge!  I just won the Sweethearts cartridge from Linda over at LILGREENBUGVILLE Blog !  Thank you Linda!  Linda has my cartridge on it's way to me, but in the meantime I borrowed my friends Sweethearts cartridge and cut this cut little tree so I could finally use Robyn's tree stamp!

The tree was cut at 5" with DCWV paper (with a little inking around the edges and on top of the tree greenery) and the background patterned paper is by K&C Co.  As I already said, the sentiment stamp is from Robyn's Pink Stamper Punnylicious set.  Too cute!

Hope you are all having a super Saturday!

Just dropping you a line...

This card was made using A Childs Year cartridge and the little boy fishing was cut at 4 1/2" for K&C Co. patterned paper.  The stamped sentiment is by Inkadinkado.

I made this card so it would qualify for two challenges.  The challenge over at the Fantabulous Cricut Blog was to use a cartridge you've neglected for at least 6 months (this was hard because I have MANY that would qualify! lol).  Betty Bees Buzz's challenge for the week is to make a project using a silhoutte.

This is a short and sweet post because I still have a lot of my stuff to gather and pack for my crop!  Hope you all have a great weekend!

Look what came in the mail!!!!

*******
My stamp came!!!!  IT IS SOOOOOOO PRETTY!!!!  I just want to stamp everything in sight!!!

Here it is out of the box!!!

Here it is on paper!

...and here it is stamped on it's very first card!

So, so, so, very excited!!!  If you need or want a stamp, please go visit Lisa at www.stampoutonline.com !

Happy Birthday Princess!

Here is a birthday card that I made for two different challenges.  Momo is having a "Princess" challenge on her blog and there is a "Anything Party Related" challenge taking place at Paper Playtime

Here is Princess Atta from Bug's Life cut from the Best of Pixar cartridge at 5".  I cut the word "Princess" from the "I am a Princess" word art from the same cartridge and then just snipped the "Princess" part from it.  The "Happy Birthday" stamp is from Inkadinkado and the patterned paper is from K&C Co. (purple) and Me & My Big Ideas (green).  The gem at the top of the folded and sewn purple paper strip is by K&C Co.

Now I seriously need to go start packing up my stuff for the crop!  Toodles!

LOOK!! I am being featured at Passionately Artistic!!!

OMGoodness!!!  I am sooooo excited!  I have never been a featured creator or won any kind of a challenge before and I just found out that my Alice in Wonderland LO is being spotlighted at Passionately Artistic's Blog!

I am telling you...this has made my day!  Thank you to Passionately Artistic !!!!!

Pink, green and brown!

I have to thank Paula at More than Favors for her awesome color challenge this week because I think that this is my favorite card to date that I've created!  I love how it turned out!

The sweet owl was cut from the Straight from the Nest cartridge at 4".  The patterned papers are from DCVW (Spring Glitter Stack from a couple years ago).  The "Thank You" stamp is by Inkadinkado and the green adhesive gems I used for the eyes are from K&C Co.    I also used one of my Action Wobbles for the first time!  Loving Action Wobbles!!!

Here is the card in action!

I am also entering this card for the bird challenge at Getting Cricky with K.Andrews.  I already entered my big bird card, but couldn't hurt to try for another chance!

Thankfully Parker is feeling better and is back at school.  I've got load of laundry number 3 in the wash and have already been to the grocery store, Costco and got gas!  I need to start organizing and packing up my stuff for my crop this weekend.  I'm going to try and pack less than I normally do.  We will see how successful I am at that.  Let's just say that I wouldn't bet on myself...
The odds aren't good!

Hope you are all having a terrific Thursday!

Sprinkled with fun!

I feel like I'm finally getting my card stash built up again.  These challenges have been a great motivation for me!  Having the hubby away on business and not being able to sleep certainly hasn't hurt my crafting time and creativity either.  Can't sleep...I think I'll make a card!  lol

I cut this cupcake from the Create a Critter cartridge at 3 1/2" and just used the hide/contour feature on my Gypsy to get rid of the cutsie little face on the cupcake.  The stamped sentiment is from a stash that a friend had stamped for me to use on cards.  The cupcake is sprinkled with Stickles!

Half way through the week and another day closer to the weekend!  I do have a sick kiddo home today so that's a bummer.  It does however allow me to slow down and ditch the "to do" and errand list for the day since I have no choice but to be home with him.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

That is one Big Bird!

I made this card last night for the challenge over at KAndrew Designs .  Her challenge to us was to make a project with a bird on it.  Well...who better than THE Bird!  This Big Bird is from the Sesame Street Friends cartridge and I cut him at 6".  The "You make my heart flutter" sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado and both of the patterned papers are from the DCWV Spring Glitter Stack.

I used my craft knife to cut around Big Bird's hands so I could slip a heart cut in behind so it would look like he was holding it. Then added a few pop dots behind the heart.

I'm thinking about letting my 6 year old, Tanner give this card to his "girlfriend".  He informed me the other day that this is his "first boyfriend/girlfriend relationship" and wanted to know that if he cleans his room can he have Layla over for a playdate.  Then he continued with....  "and when she's here can we please have some alone time?"  Ummmmmmmm....hello!!!!  He's SIX!  We are going to have our hands full with this one!

I am also entering this in Betty Bee's Buzz challenge "What a Character".

Don't forget to check out my bribe, desperation, begging for votes, blog candy post below!

Not blog candy, but...VOTE candy!

Okay everyone...I told you that I was not above begging or bribery for votes so here it is!
For those of you who have already voted...don't worry, go ahead and leave me a comment saying you've already voted and you will be counted in the giveaway!

I am in second place right now, but wayyyyyyyyyy behind!  So I not only need YOUR vote, I need any of your followers votes!  So, here is the way you can earn entries:

1.  Leave me a comment letting me know that you voted for my THOUGHTFUL FLAMINGO card over at Karel's blog on the right sidebar poll.  THIS IS A MUST REQUIREMENT.  (If you've already voted since you can only vote once please leave me a comment letting me know you already did).

2.  Become a follower of my blog (if you are already a follower leave me a second comment letting me know).

3.  Tell your friends and followers to go vote for me and then have them come here and leave a comment saying they voted and that you sent them (that will get both them and YOU and entry).

Right now I am at 35 votes and the 1st place card is at 95 so we have A LOT of ground to make up!  Plus I'm sure that votes will still keep rolling in for her card so we have to work extra hard!  If  we can get 60 votes in today, putting me at 95 I will throw in an extra prize which will be a brand new prize that I will post a picture of tomorrow!  Now we only have until January 31st at midnight EST to get as many votes in as possible so go out and get them for me please!

The prize package right now that will be chosen by Random Org. includes Making Memories Flip Frame Album, a 3 pack of Martha Stewart arctic glitter, a pack of Whimsy Greetings by The Paper Company Studio and 10 Prisma coloring pencils.

Since I will be giving entries for recruited voters, I will need to put the names into a spreadsheet to get numbers assigned.  So I will get a winner announced after the 1st of February as soon as I can get all of that together.  Don't forget...if we get 60 votes just today I will add to the prize package!

By the way...voting goes by IP Address so if you have internet on your cell phone, you can make another vote from there!  ...of from your work computer....or your neighbors computer...or your mom's computer...you get my point!  :)  Thank you to all of you for your support!

Pink Elephant on parade!

I just finished making this card to submit for two challenges.  The elephant was cut from the Cricut Lite Celebrate with Flourish cartridge which has some really nice designs on it!  The "Happy Birthday" stamp is from The Paper Company Studio and I used purple Stickles to bling up the flourish on the elephant's back and birthday hat!

I am entering this in the 2 patterned paper challenge over at Craft Your Passion Challenges Blog and Whimsical Wednesday Challenge at Always Crafting Blog

Now I'm back to watching The Bachelor to see which girl is going to go psycho next (my money is on Michelle!).   Stay tuned tomorrow for some bribe candy!  I need to make up some major votes over at Karel's blog for my flamingo card challenge so I am going to see if a little incentive will help!  Don't worry...those of you who have already made your vote in my favor will still qualify for the goodies!

WOW! Look at the Twinery's new colors of bakers twine!

You must stop by the Twinery's blog to check out their new colors of twine!

To celebrate they are having a sale and an awesome giveaway worth $75!

Hurry and head over there and follow the guidelines for your chance(s) to win!  Good luck!

No rain...no rainbows!

I still do not know who sent me the awesome Sesame Street Seasons Cricut cartridge, but I used it last night to make this card! I wanted to enter the challenge over at Flaunt it Fridays, but I do not own the Give a Hoot cartridge that the little bear inside the garbage can cut is on. They said if we didn't have that particular cartridge that we could use another cartridge with a similar cut. Well...when I was looking through the handbook of the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge I saw the Oscar the Grouch inside the garbage can holding an umbrella and just a couple pages before that I saw a rainbow cut. I knew I had an awesome kids quote stamp by Inkadinkado that would go perfect with these cuts so this is what I came up with!

Oscar the Grouch was cut at 4 1/2" and the rainbow was cut at 2 3/4"

So thank you once again to the Fairy Godmother that sent this cartridge my way!  I am entering this card for Challenge #8 at Flaunt it Fridays.  I cannot tell you how much fun I am having creating for these challenges.  When I can't sleep (which is often) this is what I have been doing with my time.  When the hubby is away on business trips, the scrapping and card making is a nice diversion.  This card also qualifies for the "What a Character" challenge over at Betty Bee's Buzz so I am entering it there too!

Hope your week is off to a great start!  For all of my cold state friends...stay warm!

Black, White & Grey (Silver) Challenge

Since I got my new Disney cartridges I've been dying to cut the Cheshire Cat!  I have a file set up in my Gypsy to cut a full body one of him in all his glorious pinkalcious color, but I needed to make a card for the challenge taking place over at Crafting with Christina .  I used the Colorbok pearlescent paper for the cat and outlined it with my Martha Stewart glitter marker.  The stamped sentiment is from Robyn's Pink Stamper Punnylicious stamps.  I wanted to use the sentiment "Cool Cat" from her stamps on this card, but the size of the stamp didn't look good with my background paper and I kinda had my heart set on the paper more than I did the sentiment.  I took the photo of this card with the flash on so you could see the sparkly paper!  Gotta love sparkly!

I am also entering this in the "What a Character" challenge at Betty Bee's Buzz!

Hope you all have a glorious Sunday!  I am looking forward to doing some blog hopping and then playing some games and having fun with my boys!

We just got home from the Detroit Pistons game where our team came from behind to win against the Phoenix Suns 75-74!!!!  Wahoooo Pistons!

Towards the end of the game during one of the timeouts they played this video of our team mascot, Hooper doing Beyonce's Single Lady dance.  OMG...I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!  Gotta love the two dancers from the Spare Tires lending their 'talents'.   Here it is for your enjoyment!

Don't forget to mute the music on my playlist at the bottom of my homepage before you start the video.

....and another for RRR's challenge!

I cut a bunch of cards out awhile back from the Wild Card cartridge.  I had used some of my double sided DCWV paper and was able to get two cards from each piece.  I finished one from each paper design and never finished the other ones!  This paper was perfect for the hearts and ribbon challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon so I finished it up last night!  The embellishment came from the same pack as the one I used on the Flamingo card.  I think that the stitching (which I didn't use on the last one like this because I didn't have my sewing machine!) was a nice finishing touch, especially around the heart.

I also added a piece of plain cardstock on the inside for a place to write since the background of the printed paper is so busy.  I decided to put it on the left side so it could kill two birds with one stone by covering up the brad back as well!  :)

I have a lot of blog hopping to do today and too little time to do it!  Some of them may have to wait until tomorrow for me to look at.  I absolutely love blog hopping!  I enjoy seeing all the different projects and I always seem to find at least a couple new amazing blogs to follow!  Hope you all enjoy the remainder of your weekend!  It seems to be going by too quickly for my liking!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge take THREE!

I needed a baby card for a upcoming baby shower and they aren't telling if it is a girl or a boy yet.  I decided to put all the colors in...blue, pink with some yellow thrown in.  I have made a card similar to this one before. I wanted to use a white background paper with yellow dots, but I didn't have any so I went with the blue and used some yellow accent stitching on it instead.  Who can resist this adorable Pooh Bear cut?!?!

This is the third card I've made that fits the requirements for the challenge going on over at Really Reasonable Ribbon's blog so I am off to link it up there!  I have one more card that I finished last night to post for this challenge as well.  It will be coming right up!

Okay...I think I'm losing my mind!

....or someone just did a really nice thing for me!!!  My son just went out to get the mail and he came back in with a small flat rate USPS box with my name on it!!!  How exciting right?  I have won blog candy from a couple hops I did over the past few weekends and I won some candy from another blog the other day that said I would be getting "a flat rate box with goodies" so I thought maybe this was it!  Imagine my surprise when I opened the box to find this.....

YES!  The Sesame Street Seasons cartridge that I did not yet own, but had on my wish list!  The kicker is...I don't remember winning this cartridge from anyone!  I think I would have remembered (although...things have been a little crazy around here and I am getting older with each passing day) winning this cartridge!  There was no note or anything inside the box.  All I have to go on is a last name and the address on the front.  The last name is Martinez and "RSVL California"....I googled "RSVL CA" and it came up Roseville, Calfornia.  If you are my Fairy Godmother or might know who my Fairy Godmother is....PLEASE help me!  In any case, I am very thankful for this lovely surprise!  I've already claimed my Cricut Reward points and linked it to my Gypsy!  Wahoooo!!!

The winner of the Cupcake Wrappers cartridge!

Now it is time to pick the lucky winner of the Cupcake Wrappers cartridge!  We had almost 30 more entries for this cartridge giveaway than the Love Struck cartridge.  I'm guessing that not as many people have this one.  Using Random Org. (again VERY blurry picture, this one is worse than the last!) with 145 sweet comments....

#77 who just so happens to be.....

someone that leaves me blog love frequently.....

and has a beautiful blog that I love to visit.......

AND just so happens to have a son with the same name as one of my boys....

(bet that narrowed down the people still in it to win it....)

Honeybearz Designs: Honeybearz Designs 100+ Follower's Giveaway Good ...

Girls go check this blog out! Be sure to tell her that I referred you because not only is she giving away a Life's a Party cartridge for a random winner...she's also giving away a Create a Critter cartridge for the person with the most referrals to her blog!

Honeybearz Designs: Honeybearz Designs 100+ Follower's Giveaway
Good ...
: "Honeybearz Designs 100+ Follower's Giveaway Good afternoon everybody!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I REACHED MY 1st GOAL Of 100 FOLLOWERS!! Thank..."

Look what I'm getting!!!!

I am so stinkin' excited!!!  I have been wanting a customized stamp for a long time!  I have a couple different ones with my name on them...and one that says Disney Dreamer Designs, but don't have one with both my name and my blog name or Mickey on it!  I knew Okie had got her stamp from Lisa at Stamp Out Online and that she was very happy with it so I decided to contact her and see what she could do for me!  I will say that she was AWESOME!  I looked through some of the stamps that she had posted in her gallery and picked out the basic design I liked, so I emailed her and asked if she could make me one like that, but with a Mickey head!  The first sample she sent me had a Mickey head with his face on it and flowers between my name and the blog name.  So I sent her another email asking if she could do the traditional 3 circle Mickey head instead...so she tried again and sent another sample.  Apologizing for being such a pain...I sent her another email with an image of the exact Mickey head I would like and asked if she could change the flowers to stars... and voila!!!  This is what she came up with and it will be in the mail and on it's way to me on MONDAY!!!

Isn't it fantastic?!!?  I am soooooo stinkin' excited!  I cannot wait to stamp everything in my craftroom with it!  :)

Lisa has the stamp she created for me posted on her site under the Custom Signature Stamps .  I'm not sure if it is going to stay there, or if it is just there for purpose of my order placement, but you should stop by and check out her work!  She has some great samples posted and I think she can do pretty much anything you would like to see!  If you need a stamp, be sure to visit Lisa at Stamp Out Online

My take on Mini Monsters

I have borrowed the Mini Monsters cartridge in the past to work on some Halloween projects and I really do need to add it to my library since I just got the new Best of Pixar cartridge I decided to use that for the challenge going on over at More Than Favors blog.  I am also entering this LO for the "What a Character" challenge at Betty Bee's Buzz

Here is my Sulley LO!  I just love that big, huggable monster!

I used the ColorBok Pearlescent paper for Sulley which gives a nice sheen to his "fur".  The spots are light purple, but it doesn't look that good when the flash hit it.  I was just trying to show you how the paper shines.

I couldn't resist using this little monster gallery cut to put at the bottom of the boys picture.

I lost the note card that I wrote the cut sizes and background paper information on and I've already deleted the files from my Gypsy.  I can tell you that I used my 12X24 mat to cut Sulley because I wanted the top portion of his body big for my page.  I just used the whole body cut and put it at the bottom of the mat so I only cut the top half and didn't waste any paper.

Don't forget to sign up for my cartridge blog candy!  Today is the last day, I will be using Random Org. tomorrow morning to draw the winners!  Love Struck  and Cupcake Wrappers

I would love for your support for the two contests I have cards entered in right now!  You can go here to Enfy's Blog and vote for my Flik card #42 and here to Karel's Blog on her right sidebar and vote for my THOUGHTFUL FLAMINGO card!  Thank you so much for your support and votes!

TGIF!  Looking forward to having some family down for the weekend and going to a Detroit Pistons game!  Hope you all have a glorious weekend!  I will be back in the morning to pick the winners of the cartridges!  GOOD LUCK!

Okay! Time to vote again!

This is for Enfy's blog celebration!  It is my Flik card which is #42.  You can click the "Vote" underneath it!  Thank you so much!  I will be back later to post a LO I finished last night!  Thank you!

You Make Me Melt

It's a tradition for us to stop in at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom to get our Mickey cones!  These photos are from a year and a half ago (I'm so far behind!)...it is amazing to look at the boys and see how much they've changed already!

I used Just Because Cards cartridge to cut the "You Make me Melt" title at 5 1/2" (real dial size).  The ice cream cone was cut from Designers Calendar at 5".  I used the Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug folder to emboss the cone and I think it looks just like a real sugar cone!  White Liquid Applique was used on the scoop of ice cream.  I didn't even notice until after I took the pictures that I unitentionally got what I think looks like a hidden Mickey in my ice cream!  Towards the left hand side of the scoop at the bottom.  Does anybody else see it??  Looking for hidden Mickey's is one of mine and Parker's favorite things to do at the parks!  Oh who am I kidding....I look for them every day out in the real world too!  :)  The circles for Mickey's ears are from George and they were cut at 1 1/4".  The ribbon is from a blog candy package that I won from Really Reasonable Ribbon last month!

I am entering this LO in the following challenges:  Sweet Tooth challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut and Wee Memories ribbon challenge .

Thanks for taking the time to look and for any "sweet" comments you might leave!  Don't forget to sign up for the two Cricut cartridge giveaways if you haven't already...they close tomorrow night and I will be picking winners Saturday morning!  Love Struck giveaway for 20,000+ followers and Cupcake Wrappers for 400+ (now 500+ should I do ANOTHER giveaway?  lol) followers ...and...if you haven't already been generous enough to stop over at Karel's blog to vote for my THOUGHTFUL FLAMINGO card entry I would really appreciate your support!  HOLY LINK filled post!  lol   Sorry about that...just a lot of business that needed to be taken care of.  Hope you have a terrific Thursday!  Friday is only a day away!

Bugs and Kisses card for Enfys blog party!

*****

Good morning!  Another day closer to Friday!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been partying hard all week long over at Enfys blog!  Boy, Enfys sure does know how to throw it down!  On the first day of her blog party she issued us a challenge to create a card with a bug on it.  So, from the good ole' US of A, across the pond to Enfys...here is my take on her challenge.

Flik was cut at 10" (then I cut him down to fit just the top half of him on the card) from The Best of Pixar Cricut cartridge.  The "XOXOXO" was two cuts welded together on my Gypsy from the Stamping Solutions cartridge at 1" and then cut down to fit the card.  Background paper was from my stash and Flik was cut from Best Occasions pearlescent paper.  I printed the sentiment from my computer.

I am also entering this into the character challenge over at Betty Bee's Buzz

I am really needing help on the vote front for my card that I entered into Karel's flamingo challenge!  Right now the Hawaiian flamingo is kicking my behind!  If you have a moment PLEASE go to the sidebar on Karel's blog and vote for my THOUGHTFUL FLAMINGO card!  Any help to get me votes would be greatly appreciated! I am not above begging or bribery!  :-)

Happy Hump Day! (Wow...is it really only Wednesday???)

Flower the skunk card

I am just LOVING my new Disney cartridges!!  I knew as soon as I opened the boxes that I wanted to cut Flower from Bambi.  How stinkin' cute is he?!?!  I had to tweak his beautiful blue eye a bit in order for this card to qualify for the Red, Black and White ONLY challenge at Cricut Cardz Challenge

Flower was cut at 5" from the Disney Classics Cricut cartridge.  The background paper is from my HUGE stash and I have no clue what company it is from.  The ribbon is Offray and the "That stinks!" stamp is from Robyn's Pink Stamper More Punny-licious set.  I was having a bit of an issue with my bobbin thread, so even though the stitching along the edge of the card isn't perfect, I'm still happy how it turned out.

I am also entering this card for the ribbon challenge over at Wee Memories!  If you've never been, be sure to check out their blog!  They have great challenges and I'm hoping to start participating in them on a more regular basis.

Thanks for looking!  Your comments truly do brighten my day!

If you haven't had a chance to stop by Karel's blog to vote for my "Thoughtful Flamingo" card I would really appreciate your vote!  Apparently she had issues with the pole this morning regarding a card that didn't get added properly so she had to redo it and all the votes that were done first thing this morning weren't showing up on the new poll.  When I first signed in this morning it was showing I had 3 votes and then I knew some of you had went and voted for me...yet it was showing me at ONE!  :-(  Karel said that she wrote down the totals before she reset it and will add them at the end, but that the people who had already voted wouldn't show up on the new poll so that you could go back and vote again!  So if you voted early Tuesday morning, can you please go back and log your vote again on the new poll!   Karel's Blog ~ One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

I need votes!

Please vote for the "Thoughtful Flamingo"!

Good morning!  So as you know from my post last week I entered this flamingo card in a few challenges.  I have entered more challenges this week than ever and this is the first time I've entered over at Karel's blog One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity!   She puts her entries up for a public vote on her blog!  I would so appreciate your support, but even if you don't vote for mine, please go over and look at all of the other fantastic creations that were entered.  The poll is on her right sidebar and my card is listed as "Thoughtful Flamingo"  you can click here to vote >>  Karelj's blog

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!  I have to get the boys to school and take care of a few things there and then I will be back to post one of the cards I made last night!

Alice in Wonderland LO

Good Monday morning!  What???  Did I just put "good" and "Monday morning" in the same sentence?!?!  YES I did and that is because there is no school today because of MLK Day!  YIPPPEEEE!!!!

Here is an Alice in Wonderland LO that I made to enter into a couple of challenges.  I was so happy to use my new Disney Classics Cricut cartridge that my wonderful hubby pre-ordered for me for Christmas!  What a fantastic addition to any Disney lovers Cricut cartridge library!  If you love Disney, you MUST get this cartridge!

I used Colorbok pearlescent paper for "Alice" and the purple flower as well as Alice's dress.  Alice was cut at 8" and the "Alice in Wonderland" word cut was done at 5".  I decided that I wanted some more of the red pinwheel type flowers to dress up the rest of the page.  There is not a cut option for just the flower so I just used my Gypsy and the hide and contour feature so that I could cut multiple of just the flower!  I wanted to 'tie' (pun intended)  in the red and black from our Mickey head tie dye shirts so that is why I decided to use the solid black background paper and the red for matting.  I was very happy how this page turned out.  I have not made a scrapbooking page since OCTOBER!  Boy did it feel good to work on my Disney pictures again!  Sorry for the poor photo quality of the pictures in the LO.  I had a really hard time getting this to photograph nicely.  The camera kept focusing in on Alice and the word art.

I am entering this LO in two challenges... Always Crafting's Whimsical Wednesday and Card Creations by C anything but a card challenge .  I hope you all have a marvelous Monday!
