Pink Stamper challenge!

Here is my submission for The Pink Stamper's winter challenge!  These pictures are from the Lights of Winter display at Epcot from December 2008 which is now unfortunately retired.  I hope they reconsider this decision and bring them back at some point and time.  It's my favorite thing about the holidays at the Epcot park!  This was a super simple LO, but the pictures and the holographic silver paper I used for the cuts were flashy enough that I didn't think the page needed much else.

Donald Duck's Christmas Tree Lot

One of the best parts about going during the holiday season is getting to see Scrooge McDuck!  He is one of those rare characters that is hard to find!  ...and of course we always love a chance to pose for pictures with Donald in one of his many outfits!

I had found these little adhesive stud embellishments a couple years back at WalMart.  I believe they were Martha Stewart and thought they would be great on a Christmas LO for bulbs or lights.  The Santa hat on Donald was cut from the Winnie the Pooh cartridge.  Thanks so much for taking the time to look!  When I look at these pictures I can't believe this was only a little over a year and a half ago!  My boys have grown so much!  Where does the time go???

This is another one of those 2 page LO's that is more easily viewed if you click on it to make it larger.

Kali River Rapids...dry is NOT an option!

My boys and husband absolutely LOVE this ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom!  This is always our last stop of the day...usually about an hour and a half before the park closes.  The three of them will ride it over and over and over again while I stand on the bridge and take pictures and then I will pack everything up in the jumbo Ziploc storage bag and climb on with them for the last 2 or 3 rides of the day!  We always end up with a few new AK beach towels on our way out of the park!

This is a 2 page LO from our December 2008 trip.  You can click on the photo to view in larger size.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment!

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster!

As a tribute to Steven Tyler (hopefully...crossing fingers!) joining American Idol here is a LO I did for Parker's first time ever riding Rock 'n' Roller Coaster back in December of 2008, which just happens to be one of my favorite two rides at Walt Disney World!  I had been trying to talk him into riding this for almost a year and a half... once he hit the 48 inch height requirement mark!  He was soooooooo scared, but once he road it he LOVED it and now it's a must do each and every time we are in Hollywood Studios!

The only bad thing that happened was that the ride broke down!  It broke down literally within feet of where we needed to disembark the ride so it didn't interfere with the enjoyment of the ride, it's just that they ended up having to manually unlock people from the ride cars and walk them out.  We were the closest to the end, BUT they start from the FRONT of the ride and then you have to walk back through the ride to the entrance!  Yes...even though we could see the normal exit to the ride they made us go all the way back through!  The two guys sitting in the seats in front of us were horrible.  They were screaming and freaking out (being drama queens basically).  I had to keep reassuring Parker that everything was going to be okay (he was only 8 years old at this time).  We probably sat in those big locked down restraints for about 20 minutes before they got to us which wasn't pleasant, but we survived!  I will say that it was cool to walk through the ride and be able to see the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster track WITH THE LIGHTS ON!!!!  They must have said at least ten times when they approached our car that there were to be absolutely no pictures taken and al cell phones must be in our pockets.

It is a two page LO, you can click on it to view it larger if you would like.  The title and embellishments are cut in matte silver metallic paper, so it didn't photograph too good, sorry for that.

Steven Tyler on American Idol?!?!?!

Oh pleasssssssssssssse let the reports be true!  A few of the entertainment shows are claiming tonight that Steven Tyler has signed on the dotted line and will be a judge for the upcoming season of American Idol!!!!!  I am one of those people who love Simon Cowell and think he will really be missed, but if they need to replace judges on the show I'm SUPER EXCITED that they are talking about one of them being Steven Tyler!  Oh how I love me some Aerosmith and Steven Tyler!!!!!!  No clue what he'll be like as a judge, but I can't wait to hear his voice and see him at the judges table each and every Idol night!!!!

Bring on Steve Tyler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love that face!

This is one of my favorite pictures of my boys at WDW.  This was our first day of our Christmas 2008 trip and we were waiting for rope drop and opening ceremonies just in front of the Main Street Train Station.  The look on Tanner's face was priceless when he heard the music start and the train coming down the tracks!  The first thing that came to my mind when I looked at this picture was "Oh My Gosh!"  he didn't really say anything at first....it was more of a gasping sound or excitement, but that was too hard to put into words! lol

Christmas in August?

This LO has a picture of each of our boys after the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in 2008 at the Magic Kingdom.  I think we barely made it into the van and they were both out!  Made for a very short nap since we were staying on property and our resort was less than a 10 minute drive! lol  They were obviously both exhausted.  Partying with The Mouse can be hard work!

Hope you all have a glorious Sunday!!!!!!

Gotta love a parade!

This is from the Block Party Bash Parade at Disney Hollywood Studios.  I love this parade because it is completely interactive!  I love watching our youngest dance and get involved and he was lucky enough to catch one of the little soft balls that they shoot out at the end!

This is a two page LO and you can click on the photo to view it larger.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!  It looks like we are going to get some rain, but we've been really lucky with our summer weather this year so I shouldn't complain!  We are heading over to our friend Diane's so the hubby can help her out with some handy man work and I am going to help her get ready for her Pampered Chef snoop party tomorrow.  Have a fantastic day!

Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust!

Here is a Peter Pan meet and greet LO I finished from our December 2008 trip.  Pretty simple and straight forward, but I like the way it turned out.  I just wish that the color of the green would have turned out better in the photo.  It looks much more vibrant in person.  Thanks for taking the time to look and comment!  Have a fantastic Friday!!!

It doesn't hurt so bad when they use a Mickeyaid instead of a bandaid!

I'm still trying to finish up our pictures from our December 2008 WDW trip.  Yes....2008!  I have stacks and stacks of photos from our August/September WDW trip to get busy on and I still have to pick and print out our photos from our June trip from this year to WDW celebrating our oldests 10th birthday!  *sigh* it can get so overwhelming!  Not to mention that it is very difficult for me to be thinking about or scrapping Christmas LO's when it's been 90 degrees and humid out!!!

Tanner fell and hurt his knee pretty bad while we were at the Magic Kingdom so we headed to the First Aid on Mainstreet because everyone knows that a bandaid makes everything better!  Even more so when it's a Mickeyaid!!! I thought that this was a really sweet touch that they do this for the kids.  Tanner wore this with pride for days.  He wouldn't let me wash his leg so it wouldn't get ruined.

I FINALLY have some crafty things to share!

Hello all!  I finally have my external hard drive and camera back from my hubby so I am in the process of uploading some photos of a few Disney LO's I have completed as well as a street address plaque that I made for our friend the other day.  Jim has been doing some things around her house for her including painting her detached garage and the front entry way to her house.  With the fresh new coat of paint I wanted to make her something special to display her house number.  I will share that with you in a few days when Jim finishes and gets the plaque up!
