Mosaic Tile Vase for Tanner's class

Here are some pictures of the vase we are doing for Tanner's 1st grade classroom to donate for the auction on Sunday.  These are pictures before I added the grout. Let me tell you...it was fun and I thought I might have found a fun, new hobby to do with my friend Kaye (she makes the most BEAUTIFUL mosaic projects), but after the grouting session of this project I'm here to tell ya...that ain't gonna happen!  Yep, I said "ain't"!!!!  Adding the grout isn't so bad, but getting all of the grout residue off of the itty bitty tiles after it dries is a PIMA (Pain In My A$$ translated for Angela!)!!!!!  I have broke all but 2 of my nails from trying to scrap it off...I've used toothbrushes, sponges, nylon scrubbies!!!  I'm in the home stretch (THANK GOD) and the sealant isn't getting added until after the auction so Kaye can do it!  I was already planning on bidding on the vase because it's for Tanner's class, but now that I have put so much time into it....I am WINNING this stinkin' vase and then it will be okay that it doesn't get the sealant added until after!

These are pictures PRIOR to adding the dreaded grout.

The vase is about 12 inches in height and about 3X3 square.  I will post another picture tomorrow after the grout is all removed from the itty bitty tiles.  Eyes will also be added to the frogs.

By the way...apparently I completely missed the voting day on my Wall-E card!  lol Oops it was Monday only.  I'm not willing to repeat Monday so I am just gonna chalk this up to a learning experience.  Have a great day!
