Welcome to the Disney/Pixar Blog Hop!

I'm so excited that this day is finally here!  Seems like so long ago that Shawn and I first started discussing the plans to have a Disney/Pixar Blog Hop!  The response to our hop during the planning stages has been phenomenall!  We have had so many people asking to participate and be a blog hop stop!  We wanted to keep this on the small side, not to overwhelm.  I hope you enjoy what you see today and leave some blog love for all of our participants!  I think there just might be another Disney/Pixar hop planned in the near future!  You should have arrived here from Shawn's Blog who was the first stop on our hop.  If you have just happened to come across my blog be sure to stop back by Shawn's Blog so you don't miss her project and the awesome blog candy she's giving away! 

 ...and now, on with the show! 

First up is a layout made for our pictures from the Finding Nemo Musical at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  LOVE this show and the music from it!  If you go to the Animal Kingdom be sure not to miss this show.  You will want to arrive early and get in line at least 30 minutes prior to the show time because although the indoor (AIR CONDITIONED) auditorium is quite large, it fills up fast!

I used the Best of Pixar Cricut cartridge to make this layout.  The paper at the bottom for the waves was Prisma Paper by Best Occasions.  I used the same paper pack for Nemo and Marlin both cut at 4".  Dory was cut from the Shiny Paper pack by Best Occasions at 5 1/2".  The "Finding Nemo" was cut at 3 3/4".  The background paper is Core'dinations and I lightly sanded it in small circular motion to give it a little bit of definition.

I used my Chomas Creations mini gel pens and holder to create this adorable card!  A big "thank you" goes out to Amy for sending the pens and holder my way!  You will be able to check out her blog and her amazing products and creations at the end of this hop!  I was so excited when my stuff from Amy arrived because I had this idea for a card!



I just used a plain white 5X7 card by Recollections and the Mickey Ears were layed out on my Gypsy from the Mickey Font Cricut cartridge.  "I'm all ears" was designed from A Childs Year Cricut cartridge.  I used Chomas Creations mini gel pens to color in the letters.  The ribbon is Bo Bunny and the Mickey gem embellishment is by EK Success.

This cover page I made for my album was done using Reminisce products that are being featured as part of my blog candy!  This castle was made from this...

This is the Real Magic line from Reminisce Build Your Own Castle!  Someone is going to be lucky enough to win a page of their own to build along with some other great Reminisce papers and coordinating stickers!  I took the Reminisce background patterned Firework Spectacular paper and used it as my base.  Before starting to put the castle right down on the patterned paper, I decided to put it together on a plain piece of black cardstock.  After I finished putting the castle together, but before I added the flags and banners, I cut out around the edge of the castle so I had a nice sturdy piece to put onto my page.  I used a piece of black Colorbok textured cardstock and ripped it before adhering to the bottom of the firework paper.  I thought it gave the project more of a realistic look with the dark ground and fireworks in the background.  I used some pop dots behind the castle to give it some dimension and make it pop out from the fireworks.  After I got the castle in place where I wanted it on the page, I went and added the flags and banners.  The die cut stickers are also from the Real Magic Line by Reminisce.  I used an "O" and the small circles from the percentage symbol for the Mickey head and ears!
